Installing your new watch strap
We recommend using a high-quality steel spring bar to remove your current watch strap. This is highly advisable in case it’s a new watch, as a cheap tool might break and damage the watch case and bezel. If your current watch strap comes with quick-release pins, then you can simply remove them using the pull-mechanism. Currently, we do not provide spring bars with our watch straps. Bangtail is a small setup and we focus passionately on quality products – and to be able to provide good-quality spring bar would significantly increase the price of our products. It would be great if you have a spring bar; if not, a small visit to any watch repair shop should do the trick. And you only need to visit once, because all our watch straps come fitted with quick-release pins. Which means you can install/change your watch straps effortlessly and without a spring bar.

What to expect
At first, it’s common to expect some stiffness and slight discomfort. That’s a great sign of a good quality leather watch strap. We ask you to give it about a week for it to stretch and loosen up to comfortably fit your wrist. This is a mark of our quality and traditional leathercrafting technique used at Bangtail.
At all times, we keep a limited stock of our products. This is mostly due to the handcrafted nature of our work here at Bangtail. If the product is in our stock, we ship it immediately and you can expect it within 5-7 days. Other times, we have to craft a new batch which takes about 7-10 days. The delivery time can be longer in such a case and it could take about 15-20 days to reach you. Our team will keep you informed in case of such a delay.
You can return the watch straps hassle-freely in case of many manufacturing damages, or ask for a complete replacement. We do not accept watch straps which have been worn and stretched.
